Who am I…
My husband often jokes that I can’t visit the same place twice. I can’t help it, I feel like there is so much of the world to see and observe. Now that I am a homeschooling mom of two I have had to figure out how to open my children’s eyes to the many adventures they can have. I want them to look past the marketing and dig deeper into each place we visit.
One of the catalyst for becoming homeschoolers was a kindergarten field trip I chaperoned. The teacher was only interested in moving the group along. She missed so many amazing connections. We rush so much as adults, it would be a shame if we rushed our kids through this magical stage.
So in these pages you will find our adventures and keys to opening the doors of curiosity with them.

Who are the Kiddos…

My two daughters are spunky and creative, each with her own dreams and quirks. My oldest (8 going 16) I will refer to as Master Builder. Lego Bricks consume much of her time. I love to watch her build and then tell a  story with her creations. They allow her the freedom to express her imagination in ways that she is having trouble doing with traditional writing. My youngest (5) is Dolphin Girl. She is she a shy little monkey who may someday win an Oscar if she can overcome her fears of people. She has fallen in love with Winter the dolphin from the  movie Dolphin Tale. As you will see in my posts our field trips try to expand on what they love and offer fresh ideas for them so we will be seeing a lot more Lego and Dolphin themed trips!

Who is the Hubby…

He is the mastermind behind all the tech stuff. If you have a technical question I will be referring it to him!Truthfully I would be lost without him in so many ways.   He makes all the field trips possible with his hard work and dedication to the family. Unfortunately, he misses out on most of fun so the trips he joins us on are extra special.
